Seth Rogen tells it like it is. You get the feeling the actor is pretty much the same guy on screen as he is off. So when he talks about his beloved weed and being a big time stoner it’s not really a surprise. He kind of has the ‘laid back stoner dude’ market covered on film. He says marijuana is part of his day to day routine and he doesn’t care what other people think because it works for him.
The star of Knocked Up, The Green Hornet and Pineapple Express reckons dope is the reason he’s making so many movies and writing so many scripts. He’s told Front Magazine ‘I smoke a lot of weed, yeah. I think it’s a myth to say you can’t be productive and smoke weed. It’s an antiquated thought. In the 1950s they said you’d go crazy if you smoked it, and then they said you’d become a crack addict if you smoked, and now they say you’ll be lazy. All those things are not true. I smoke weed a lot and I’m extremely productive.’ He’s certainly been churning out the movies in the last couple of years.
So does it help the 29 year old creatively? Are we talking quality and quantity? ‘Both. But more than anything it makes me more willing to work. Nobody wants to work for twelve hours a day, but if you get to smoke weed, hang out with your friends and joke around it doesn’t really feel like work‘.
