NO matter whom we wish for king …..Charles will be the next king.The SECOND Elizabeth II dies,Charles Not becomes but IS king.I repeat the SECOND she dies, he is king.The only way for him not to be king is :
1)abdicates 2)dies BEFORE the queen,3)is declared mad.
Elizabeth II’s father became king because his brother Edward FIRST heir to the throne abdicated .HOWEVER, he ( Edward)was king. Jus never coronated because he ABDICATED.Elizabeth’s father (SECOND heir)to the throne became king.And of course the SECOND he died she was queen.Charles is FIRST HEIR to the throne.William is SECOND HEIR to the throne. And Harry is THIRD HEIR TO THE throne. Of course, if William has children ,then Harry will be further back in line.

Understand this a monarch becomes a king or queen, the SECOND, not 2 seconds !!!!, the SECOND!!! the previous monarch dies.A person might be literally taking a shower &his king /queen mother dies & he has no idea he/she IS ALREADY king /queen.This happened to Elizabeth II,the current queen.She was in another country & had climbed upstairs as PRINCESS.She climbed down a QUEEN.
The SECOND her father died she was queen.The SECOND she dies Charles IS king.The SECOND Charles dies William IS king.

THE CORONATION however can take many days AFTER. BUT he/she is already king or queen.

Let’s all hope that Prince William & Kate The Duchess of Cambridge become King and Queen! Not Charles & Camilla neither of those too deserve to be anywhere near the Throne after what they did to The Peoples Princess Lady Diana! Charles definately deserves to be Dethroned after that and i can’t say on here what should happen to Camilla Parker-Bowles!

Not much hope for the British Monarchy if Charles and his ugly horse face wife becomes King. Petty u brit and if they become King and Queen, it is time for Australia to be independent instead of belonging to the Commonwealth. Not only are they expensive to keep and I see them doing little for the countries economy as we will definitely not follow Camilla’s fashion and for their charity I see little of representation for it

King as long as he is living when the Queen dies or should she abdicate.

would require a change to British constitutional law for this not to happen.

Absolute rot. The Queen invested Charles as heir decades ago, and apart from anything else, it is LAW that Charles become the next Monarch. Nothing can change that unless Charles dies or goes mad. Public opinion may overwhelmingly want William to inherit but the law must/will be followed and Charles will be King next. For goodness sake, do some research before you write such drivel.
