Well whether you like it or not Kim Kardashian has joined Drop Dead Diva and will introduce her character Nikki, the love guru, on Sunday’s fourth season premiere. A love guru? I know what you are all thinking. Yes, she seems to be mocking herself with this role because we all know that Kim is the last person we’d ask for relationship advice. Am I not right?
At any rate, we got the news in January that Kim would be joining the cast for a slew of episodes and peeps weren’t exactly thrilled. She should be used to scripted television by now, right? Insert eye roll here. In fact, there were several rude comments posted on Lifetime’s Facebook page.
Even though Kim isn’t exactly a fan favorite, you KNOW that people are going to be curious and tune into the show (which, I am sure was Lifetime’s thoughts on bringing Kim K. into the cast). Don’t tell me you aren’t a tad curious.
The show’s creator Josh Berman wants us all to at least give Kim a chance. He told The Hollywood Reporter, “I’m disappointed when people say ‘I’m not watching,’ because of one person coming on to a show. Good or bad, I’m really hoping the viewers will give her a shot and give the show a shot to see what she brings to it.”
