Kristen Stewart is so intent on getting in shape for her new movie that she’s using the sexiest inspiration possible – porn stars and strippers.
The Twilight star told Women’s Wear Daily that she’s anxious to shed her Bella Swan skin and working out constantly to get ready for shooting the Nick Cassavetes’ film Cali later this summer. “I’m going to get into the best shape of my life,” she told the magazine. “I’m going to look like a stripper. I’m going to look like a porn star.”
We all have dreams I guess.
Cali is about a young woman and her boyfriend who sell a fake snuff film and then leave Los Angeles to return home to rescue her younger sister. This seems to be on par with what Stewart’s going for lately. She’s all about the dark and, in this case, said she was interested in the film’s “extreme in every way” script because it tells her something about herself.
“A lot of times, you’ll read a script and you can identify with things that are very surprising, things that kind of shock you about yourself,” she said. “And the process of making the movie is finding out why those feelings occurred.”
I wonder what Robert Pattinson will think of this role. He didn’t want her starring in the new Fifty Shades of Grey movie because of its sexually charged nature. This seems like more of the same. If he didn’t want her starring in Fifty Shades because of its crap writing, I would take his side, but I can’t get behind silly jealousy.
Do you think Kristen’s trying too hard to separate herself from her goody goody Twilight image? I can’t decide. On the Road was obviously a great choice and it’s been said she was great in it. Snow White seemed to be a good transition – not too dark, not too light. I just don’t always want to see her biting her lip over snuff films and incestuous relationships with her father. Throw me some romantic comedies too Kristen!
