“Emily’s lie totally worked and I finally got to have sex with Kyle,” says Miley Cyrus in the trailer for her upcoming movie “LOL: Laughing Out Loud.” This is said in voice-over as her characters’ mom, played by Demi Moore, finds a diary of her x-rated confessions. At just 19-years-old, it seems Cyrus is doing everything she can to shed what remains of “Hannah Montana” with the upcoming role, including a rumored flash of her Brazilian wax!
An English adaptation of a French film, “LOL: Laughing out Loud” follows 15 year old Lola, played by Cyrus, as she surrenders to her rebellious youth and battles her mother’s unconditional affection. “It’s pretty gnarly,” Cyrus told Reuters about the film. “It is about a daughter who is involved with all the wrong kids, doing drugs, failing school, but the mother has her on this perfect pedestal. I just fell in love with the story.”
Though we’ve seen plenty of racy content on Cyrus’ Twitter account lately— including a picture of her mimicking oral sex on a penis cake (classic!)—the movie marks her first full-on sex scene. According to the young star, the role was a chance for her to challenge herself. “I had been wanting to get out of what people think as the obvious choice for me to do next,” she said. “It was so freeing to not be, like ‘Alright, I’m happy!” and getting to be real and working with life’s real emotions. People are so used to me playing the happy girl.”
The film co-stars Ashley Greene as a high school bad girl and the aforementioned Demi Moore, pre breakdown. One sadly ironic scene in the trailer shows Moore confronting Cyrus for smoking pot and sex orgies (box of condoms in the living room=open to interpretation) following a raging party.
“LOL: Laughing out Loud” is due to be released this summer. Hopefully it’s got more substance than Lindsey Lohan’s “Georgia Rule”. Yeah, remember when she was trying to be all-rebellious in her roles Miley? Look where her career is now!
