New 'Hunger Games' Trailer Excites Fans With Image Of Mockingjay Pin And More (Video)

The Hunger Games film is on its way, and Lionsgate has just released a new trailer that is, how shall we put this, incredibly EPIC. The new trailer, which of course features Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen, shows the beautiful moment where Katniss imparts a mockingjay pin to her little sister, Prim, as well as an adrenaline-pumping scene of The Reaping.

In many of the other trailers that have been released, we’ve seen an emphasis placed on the ever-important relationship between Katniss and Josh Hutcherson’s character, Peeta. In this trailer, which is set to air on national TV during the Super Bowl Pre-game show, it’s all about the sister-sister bond between Katniss and her sister, Prim. For those who’ve read the book–or have watched this trailer–you know that Katniss makes an incredible sacrifice after her sister is called to compete in the annual Hunger Games. J-Law brings an emotional and, what looks to be, powerful energy to her performance. We can’t wait to see it on the silver screen on March 23rd.

The trailer also shows a glimpse of the wonderful and talented Stanley Tucci, who plays the role of Hunger Games Interviewer Caesar Flickerman–a man famous for putting a positive spin on anything that is said.

All-in-all: amazing trailer. However, one thing I’m NOT feeling about this trailer is the creepy X-Files music at the end. Sorry, but that ain’t working.
