Now this is something that drives me mental. What business is it of ours if someone – who happens to be in the Hollywood limelight – is gay, straight, or bisexual? Me writing about it is only to bring attention to the public that no matter one’s sexual orientation – they are entitled to some privacy.
Such is the case with Raven-Simone, who understandably hasn’t been too fond of the media as of late. Well I certainly don’t blame her; I can imagine what she must have felt like opening the National Enquirer (I know right, a pretty reliable source of information to begin with) only to read the headlines suggesting she is living with AzMarie Livingston from America’s Next Top Model. While the mag suggested that The Cosby Show actress was a lesbian and hiding this from the public, Raven quickly took to Twitter to shed some of her opinion:
“I’m living my PERSONAL life the way I’m happiest. I’m not one, in my 25-year career to disclose who I’m dating. and I shall not start now. My sexual orientation is mine, and the person I’m datings to know. I’m not one for a public display of my life. However that is my right as a HUMAN Being whether straight or gay. To tell or not to tell. As long as I’m not harming anyone.”
I am a light being made from love, and my career is the only thing I would like to put on display, not my personal life. Kisses!”
Well said Raven – and good on her for not disclosing anything – some things should remain private if you so choose.
