Mayim Bialik, first known for her role as Blossom in the 90’s popular sitcom of the same name, and now famous for The Big Bang Theory was seriously injured today in a car accident in Los Angeles.
The 36-year-old actress was driving alone in her Volvo when around noon at the corner of Hollywood Blvd. and La Brea another car being driven by 3 Chilean tourists crashed into her vehicle.
While the tourists were left unharmed, reports surfaced that a lot of blood was found at the scene and Mayim was seriously injured. Emergency paramedics were immediately called to the scene and several sources claimed that Mayim’s injuries might find her losing her left hand. One source said, “her finger was almost completely severed…it was just hanging there.”
I’m getting queasy just thinking about it! Mayim was rushed to a nearby hospital to be treated for her injuries, and for a while it seemed touch and go as to what the fate of the young actress and her ‘dangling’ fingers would be. Thankfully, she won’t be losing any digits after all. She posted a tweet (well actually, it was her husband who wrote it on her behalf) saying, “In pain but will keep all my fingers. If u wanna see pre accident me watch The Soup tonight lol.”
Well there you have it, she’s well enough to make jokes so she’s going to make it – all fingers included. The Chileans for the record were not charged for smashing into Mayim Bialik’s car.
