Bring back All My Children. ABC has ruined theirselves by removing shows that people love. I used to watch ABC all the time, Deseperate Housewives, Extreme Makeover Home Edition, and especially “All My Children” which I had watched for over 36 years. Yet they put some cookin show in place of it because I was told it was cheaper to make. Look what happend with that. I bet ratings would go up if “All My Children” came back. I’ll bet they went down when it was taken off the air.

We want scripted programming on daytime, not dumb talk shows like the ones we can see on other networks. I am glad happy we saved General Hospital (which I still watch because some of the our OLTL favorites are on it now) but we will win the fight and bring AMC and OLTL back!

Katie “saved” GH? Really? #GH was on the chopping block and it was SOAP FANS who saved the show. After Oprah’s dismisal failure without soap fans, Ms. Couric saw the writing on the wall, following the “if you can’t beat them, join them” philosophy. Fans have been working for over a year now and are not giving hope to get our shows back–both of them! Ms. Couric will have the same results as the revolution and GAA before her…

This is arguably one of the most remarkable fan reactions in
the history of television! And the cancellations of AMC & OLTL are easily
one of the dumbest decisions ever made by a broadcast network. It seems that
nothing has been able to replace OLTL. The Revolution failed, Good Afternoon
America failed. GH is now in the spot and is demonstrating that nothing besides
a soap opera can hold a candle to OLTL. Katie is in GH’s old spot and her
ratings are pretty dismal so far! Here’s to all the replacements and possible
replacements failing! Celeb Dirty Laundry, thank you very much for joining the
fight to save these iconic shows!

I want to thank the Globe for letting me voice my opinion on our soap movement and to Celeb Dirty Laundry for helping to promote our work in this cause. We want the entire soap opera genre to return but since AMC’s rights revert back to ABC soon, the time to put emphasis on AMC is now. If we can show our demand for this show, it may open the door for other soaps to return in the future. Some of us have been fighting for over a year and we are too close to give up now.

Thanks to Celebrity Dirty Laundry for showing the continued dedication of the fans of the soap genre. As the replacement schedule for ABC continues to be lackluster with the ratings for General Hospital on a steady climb, the demand for soaps over talk and reality shows is clear. Thank you for helping us continue to get our story out there. With AMC off the air for almost a year to see that fans are still fighting daily shows that the demand is there and that the flawed Neilsen rating system clearly doesn’t reflect the television viewership as a whole.
