Tony Lucca Eliminated From 'The Voice'

36-year old Tony Lucca from Waterford, Michigan, is the latest hopeful from ‘The Voice’ to have been given the boot by America. The singer, songwriter, producer and yes, even actor, is probably best known for where he got his start in the business, the “Mickey Mouse Club”.  Tony certainly ‘upped his game’ last week, singing “How You Like Me Now”, he had a lot to prove and I felt like he did it with that performance. If you missed, you can watch his performance video HERE.

The former “Mouseketeer” has already had his share of success in releasing seven studio albums and five EP’s. He told USA today that he took “the path less traveled,” and his sound is now “laid-back” and “soul-folk.”

One thing Tony has that the other hopefuls don’t, he probably has a lot of support from his former Disney stars, including Britney Spears.

No doubt, the experience on ‘The Voice’ has been a wild one for Tony, in particular when it came to his more ‘on again’ than ‘off again’ feud with coach, Christina Aguilera who he appeared on the “Mickey Mouse Club” with.

Now, Tony has not been shy about how things may have been very different if he had been on Christina’s team, here is what he told The Hollywood Reporter, “I don’t think I’d be here right now if I had picked Christina” because when the chips were on the table, he found Christina, his harshest critic so far, wanting Adam to pick Katrina Parker instead of him.

Tony goes on to say, “It seems she’s harboring some legitimate and hardcore resentment that I didn’t figure, she made some very critical, important decisions during the course of the season that surprised a lot of people. I don’t know if what we’re seeing now is about a backlash for not picking her or maybe something older and deeper seeded. I don’t know. It’s weird.”

Wow, what do you think, did the feud between Christina and Tony affect America’s votes? Do you think he deserved to be sent home? Sound off your comments below and let us know if you think Tony should have won.
