This article is very accurate. These shows are very manufactured now. American Idol and X-Factor are the worst of them. They think if they way over pay a huge pop star (Britney or Mariah) then everyone will tune in. They are all trying to repeat a piece of TV history that Simon and Paula started and it will never happen again. If you’ll notice, they both saw big ratings drop when Paula left both shows. And, people didn’t like the 4 judge format last time they tried it with Kara so why try it again?? Odd.
