Did ABC purposely choose a bunch of bottom of the barrel losers for this season’s The Bachelorette? I mean really now, there is always a surprise or two that comes out later in the season but this is ridiculous. I’m starting to feel really bad for Desiree Hartsock who isn’t very likely to find love with the string of winners that she has to choose from!
Bradley McKinzie is in the running for Des’s heart and I’m guessing that once his history is revealed he will be sent packing faster than the last guy was. According to the June 23rd print edition of National Enquirer, Brad got into a knockdown, drag out fight with his then-girlfriend Britnee Nelson. In 2009 she accused him of cheating and things spiraled out of control from there. After trying to bust down the bedroom door to get to Britnee he eventually punched her in the face and broke several of her nails.
Brad was arrested and severed with a restraining order. Britnee later changed her story and said that her boyfriend of 5 years was trying to keep her from driving drunk and things got out of hand. It doesn’t matter how it happened or the reason, what this tells us is that Brad is more than capable of putting his hands on a woman if a situation doesn’t go his way. That’s not a guy that should have made the cut for ABC’s hit show!
Do you think that the producers are really screening contestants well enough? Would they purposely let this dude slide by knowing that his story will generate interest ratings later?
