Beyonce got a taste of audience participation last night when she was dragged by a shirtless fan over the edge of her performance platform and into the audience. The look of panic and terror on her face can be clearly seen in the video below.
Beyonce was singing “Irreplaceable” and being close and touchy with the audience when a happy Brazilian reached out and hugged her, pulling her of her stage. In the video you can her giant security charge onto the stage and grab Beyonce back from the keen fan.
All credit for performance aplomb as Beyonce quickly regained her equilibrium and continued her singing and dancing with barely a stutter. Props to her security as well who acting efficiently and with moderation – not like what we see with Justin Bieber’s or Chris Brown’s hired thugs. Meanwhile there seems to have been no harm done and the superstar offered a “Nice to meet you … I love you, too” to the over eager fan. Still, the look of pure fear that comes over Beyonce’s face during the incident tells the real story of what Beyonce felt and thought. Are popular singers today crazy to get close to fans or is it a good idea?
