Catherine Giudici: Bachelor Contestant’s Criminal Past Revealed

Catherine Giudici Bachelor Contestant’s Criminal Past Revealed

Having tabloids dig through public record goes hand in hand with entering any reality TV show. The Bachelor Season 17 contestant Catherine Giudici is no exception. We previously reported that the gorgeous brunette developed trust issues after her father went insane—literally. After he threatened suicide twice and started throwing knives around the house, he was committed to a mental institution, but not before doing serious emotional harm to his family.

Since then, he’s moved to Taiwan, leaving Catherine and her mother to live in peace and safety. But his legal troubles are worse than we thought—not only does he have a violent past, he had a warrant! National Enquirer, print edition February 11, 2013, reported that “the state of Washington issued a warrant for him in 2003 over an unpaid tax bill,” which he refused to pay!

Catherine’s father was collecting unemployment insurance when the state “overpaid benefits in the amount of $394, plus an additional $110.32 in interest.” His warrant was issued in 2003, but “it wasn’t until February 2005 that he finally paid up.” His debt wasn’t huge, so why put off paying?

The tax warrant was just another sad legacy from her dad that Catherine had to live down,” a family insider explained. “She overcame her rough past,” and has established herself, boasting “a good job at Amazon and one of the frontrunners on ‘The Bachelor’.” Check out our spoilers for this season here, if you want to know how far Catherine gets! She hasn’t had much screen time yet, which could mean she’s at risk of going home! I don’t know much about her, but I’ll be furious if she goes home before bad girl Tierra Licausi! Who do you want to win this season? Do you think Catherine can move past her family traumas to find love with Sean Lowe?
