The 2013 Essence Festival celebrates culture, community, and empowerment of all kinds through the magic of music, lively discussion panels, and activities. The event takes place in New Orleans at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome and will feature some of today’s biggest names in the music industry, including Beyoncé, New Edition, Maxwell, Blackstreet, LL Cool J, Trey Songz, Keyshia Cole, Solange, Brandy, Faith Evans, Janelle Monae. Many brilliant panels will also be hosted by Steve Harvey, Rev. Al Sharpton, Iyanla Vanzant, Marc Morial, Lisa Nichols, and Dr. Steve Perry.
