I read a book once that said the same thing only that Lindbergh was a big practical joker. He had previously kidnapped his own baby just to get a thrill out of scaring his family and staff to death. But I didn’t quite get how the first thing he would want to do after a speaking engagement would be to come home at night and pull a prank. This book, I forget the author, touched lightly on the child’s birth defects but if this is true, it makes for a more compelling reason to murder his child than just a prank gone wrong.
