Time for our weekly fan fiction, courtesy of the tabloids. The latest report from OK! Magazine definitely takes the cake, as their headline seems to insinuate that Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears are battling over whose body is hotter.
A source explains that the feud started when both of them had major red carpet events this week, since they didn’t expect to debut their new, hot bodies at the same time… You know, I have a feeling the people who write these stories don’t really read through them after.
Anyway, the ‘source’ adds, “Neither of them were expecting for the other to debut their hot new bodies in the same week! Spears gets a huge thrill out of eclipsing Christina, [while Aguilera] was looking forward to rubbing her weight loss in Spears’ face.”
Have we gone back several years without realizing? The Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera feud was at the height of its media coverage in the early 2000s, but I don’t even think Britney remembers what clothes she wore yesterday, much less the fact that she’s supposed to be ‘feuding’ with Christina Aguilera. I’m not calling either one of them mature, but I think we should give them some credit, right? I mean, both Christina and Britney have families now and while they’ve certainly both battled with weight issues, I think the comparisons end there.
