Courtney and best girlfriend, Tori, travel to Fort Worth for her mom’s surgery and some family bonding. Courtney’s rejects an offer of support from her ex, Matt. She’s got her friends.

Tonight’s episode of Courtney Loves Dallas starts off with Courtney and Tori getting ready for their trip home to support her Mom during her surgery, she just found out she has cancer. Courtney is writing a blog post before they leave, when her ex-boyfriend Matt calls her. He wants to be there for her during her Mom’s surgery, Courtney turns him down, her real friends are there for her. She doesn’t need him, he didn’t speak to her for 12 months, he can’t decide to be there for her now.
On the way to Courtney’s Mom’s, Courtney confides in Tori about the time her and her Mom found out her Dad was having an affair and had a 19 year old girlfriend.
Courtney and Tori arrive at Courtney’s Mom’s house. Courtney’s colorful great-grandmother is also there, her name is Mimi. Courtney makes a beeline for Mimi’s closet, and Tori and Courtney play dress-up. Then Courtney, Tori, Mimi, and Courtney’s Mom Royanne head out to the beauty salon. They want to have “big Texas hair.” After they get their hair done they head outside and see a huge bull. A woman is giving tourists rides on him. Tori tries to go for a bull-ride, but freaks out and opts to go to a bar instead.
The girls head back to Courtney’s Mom’s house after their day on the town. Courtney wants to help her Mom relax before her surgery tomorrow, so Courtney gives her silk leopard print pajamas and scented candles. Then Courtney pops in some old home-videos, including Courtney’s first birthday party and her old cheerleading routines.
Courtney and Tori head to bed, and chat about Matt, her ex-boyfriend. Tori is scared that Matt is going to pull her back in, and he doesn’t want her to distract her.
It’s the day of Royanne’s surgery. Courtney is a mess. She is scared for her Mom, and Mimi isn’t helping her matters, she is trying to read her a nursery rhyme from her childhood.
Royanne’s surgery was a success. Courtney and Tori take Royanne home and try to put her to bed, but she is high as a kite from her surgery. The good news is the Doctors only removed a tiny piece of skin, and she won’t need reconstructive surgery on her face.
The weekend was a success, Courtney and Tori head to bed.
