Dancing With the Stars 2013 RECAP 3/18/13: Season 16 Premiere

DANCING WITH THE STARS is back tonight for its 16 season.  The glitz, the glamour, and an all-new cast of fresh faces hit the dance floor tonight.  Tonight’s show is hosted by Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke-Charvet, the celebrities perform choreographed dance routines which will be judged by renowned ballroom judge Len Goodman and dancer/choreographers Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba.

The new celebrities dancing this season and their partners are: Andy Dick & Sharna Burgess,Dorothy Hamill & Tristan MacManus, D.L. Hughley & Cheryl Burke,Jacoby Jones & Karina Smirnoff, Wynonna Judd & Tony Dovolani,Sean Lowe & Peta Murgatroyd,Victor Ortiz & Lindsay Arnold,Kellie Pickler & Derek Hough, Ingo Rademacher & Kym Johnson,Alexandra Raisman & Mark Ballas,Lisa Vanderpump & Gleb Savchenko and Zendaya & Val Chmerkovskiy.

New this season are two new dance styles, contemporary and jazz, three new professional dance partners — Lindsay Arnold, Sharna Burgess & Gleb Savchenko; and notable theme shows.

Tonight the couple will be dancing one of three dance styles:  Cha Cha Cha, Foxtrot or Contemporary.  To find out who is dancing what go here!  I’m very excited to see the Contemporary dances, as the three celebs who received this style are expected to be fairly strong competitors. But, as always, we’ll just have to wait and see.
