Dancing With the Stars 2013 RECAP 5/6/13: Season 16 Episode 8

Dancing With the Stars 2013 RECAP 5/6/13: Season 16 Episode 8

DANCING WITH THE STARS is back tonight with the eighth episode of the 16 season and tonight on DWTS each couple will perform two routines in an effort to impress the judges and earn America’s votes.  Did you see last week’s Latin night performance show?  We did and we recapped the show for you.

On last week’s show the seven remaining couples hit the dance floor for Latin Night.   The couples performed to a Latin-inspired hit.  In a new twist and another DWTS first, the couple with the highest overall score for the night, Kellie Pick;er was granted immunity from elimination.  The couples who did not receive immunity competed in a dance-off to earn extra judges’ points in an effort to increase their overall score.  At the elimination show sadly Andy Dick’s journey ended when he was eliminated.

On tonight’s show the six remaining couples take to the dance floor and for the first time this season, each couple will perform two routines in an effort to impress the judges. In the first round, the couples will perform a traditional ballroom dance in a style that they’ve not yet done. In the second round, the couples will dance as part of a trio, featuring an eliminated pro or troupe member.

The dance assignments for the week are:  Aly and Mark – Argentine Tango, Jive Trio with Henry – Sean and Peta – Tango, Jazz Trio with Sharna –  Jacoby and Karina – Viennese Waltz, Paso Doble Trio with Cheryl, Zendaya and Val – Foxtrot, Salsa Trio with Gleb, Ingo and Kym – Foxtrot, Jive Trio with Lindsay and Kellie and Derek – Viennese Waltz, Paso Doble Trio with Tristan.

Tonight’s episode is going to have all the usual glitz and glam in the ballroom, which you won’t want to miss.
