I’m always surprised that more hookups and relationships don’t get leaked from the set of Dancing with the Stars. In addition to the appeal of having celebrities participate in a reality contest, the reason the show does so well is seeing the unlikely hookups and pairing between the celebrities and the professional dancers.
One particular pairing is setting the rumor mill on fire. Peta Murgatroyd and Brant Daugherty, just days after they were spotted getting close at the park, were reportedly spotted kissing. Now, Dancing with the Stars is known for several showmances in the previous seasons, but neither Peta nor Brant has confirmed that anything’s going on.
Peta is a seasoned veteran of Dancing with the Stars, whereas Brant is an actor best known for Pretty Little Liars. While Brant’s career has seen a slight upstick since he joined Dancing with the Stars, this is still probably the most high-profile project he’s ever been a part of. When you consider that, it’s not hard to believe that he would be willing to engage in a showmance. And with Peta, this is all part of her job. She’s been linked to her partners in the previous years, although she hasn’t exactly been spotted smooching any of them.
Is there a budding romance going on between Peta and Brant, or are they just playing it up for the cameras? Everyone knows – the more the public’s interested in you, the more likely they are to vote for you. Peta and Brant are both smart enough to realize that and capitalize on it, so don’t be surprised if this turns out to be little more than a showmance to gain public favor.
