Dorothy Hamill Leaves Dancing With The Stars 2013 - Withdraws Under Doctors Orders

Tonight on DANCING WITH THE STARS 1976 Gold Medal figure skater Dorothy Hamill and her professional partner Tristan MacManus withdrew from the competition on the first Result Show of the season for medical reasons.  Did you watch tonight’s episode?  We did and we recapped it here for you!

Dorothy gave everyone the news tonight before anyone was eliminated from the show.  In an emotional speech she told everyone that because of Doctors orders she had to withdraw from the competition.

She said this after this show, “It’s a cyst on the lumbar spine and it’s pinching a nerve.”  When the nerve in the lower back is pinched she losers balance on her right foot.

On the premiere episode Dorothy performed a Contemporary dance for her first dance and the judges were  impressed.  This is what the judges had to say.  Carrie Ann: She’s already a winner in so many ways. Her performance was golden Len: That dance was outstanding beauty. Well done  Bruno: Deeply felt, great connection with Tristan. Really, really good  They scored Dorothy a 21/30

On last night’s show Dorothy danced the Jive.  This is what the judges had to say.  Bruno: “Dorothy, my darling that was a brave attempt.  The problem is you lost the footing so many times, and you know that.  For the future, relax your shoulders and engage your core.”  Carrie Ann: “You have natural sense of movement, but I felt fear this week. This was a rough dance.” Len: “it had moments, but it had no deliver.  There were lots of mistakes and it was a mess, I do apologize.”  They scored Dorothy 15/30.  

Lisa total score for Dancing With The Stars Week 1 Performance show and Week 2 Performance show was 36/60.
