Another Look at Forbes World's Highest Paid Musicians

YOU CAN FADE THE “ROC” !!!!! Don’t believe me? Just asked Forbes.  According to their “Hightest-Paid Musicians in the World” 2013 List. This year collectively Jay-Z Beyoncé and Rihanna pulled in a cool 138 million.

When we break it down that’s $53 million for Beyoncé who came in at #10 on the list. Thanks to Pepsi, H&M, and a world tour that grossed 2 mil a city. At #17 we have $43 million for Ri-Ri which she earned from about 40 shows and a deal with Vita Coco Coconut Water. Closing out the swag trinity is good ol Camel Joe aka Jay-Z who creeps on to the list at #19. His gwap he acquired by concerts and a savvy business deal with Armand de Brignac Champagne and victories with his Roc Nation Label/Management Group.

Now that’s some clique love but you wanna talk about the bitch that stands alone? Then all praise to the living legend Madonna who tops the list at # 1. That’s right children Mad Madge took home a cool 125 million of the 305 million her MDMA Tour raked in. While Mother Monster clawed her way in at # 2 taking home 80 million from the 168 million the her Born This Way Ball made. Word is had she actually completed the tour it would have grossed between 200 / 300 million.

Justin Bieber comes in at # 7 with 58 million. This was made from a combination of concerts and his investment in companies like TinyChat and Spotify. Taylor Swift came in at #8 with 55 million from shows and endorsement deals with Diet Coke, Sony, and Cover Girl.

Elton John is letting these young bitches sit him down. He comes in at #9 with 54 million from a tour that grossed 1 million dollars a night. The Black Frank Sinatra good ol’ Diddy hits the list at #12 with a take home of 50 million from his businesses Ciroc Vodka, Bad Boy Records, Sean John clothing line, and his Blue Flame Marketing Firm. Diddy’s ex Jenni from the Block aka JLo danced in at #15 with 45 million from a 1 million dollars a night tour and a 12 million dollar paycheck from American Idol (which she will be returning as a judge this upcoming season).

The good Dr. Dre beat his way in at #21 with 40 million courtesy of his Beatz by Dre headphones. To close out my honorable mentions I feel that I should let you know our ambassador of rainbows and cupcakes sweet sweet Katy Perry x and o’s her way in at # 23 with 39 million from giving “private shows(?)”….hmmmmm. Her deal with Coty Fragrance company, PopChips Snacks, and her “Part of Me” Documentry. Looks like some of us are thriving in this economy – can’t wait to see who wins, loses or moves on to Forbes roll call next year.

Why is Michael Jackson’s photo on the top?  Because his estate earned more than any living musician’s at $160 million – but only living artists qualify.
