Game of Thrones is heating up and next week’s episode is entitled “Walk of Punishment.” Sounds like someone’s going to be facing an unfortunate turn of events? If you’re one of those people who finds themselves severely sickened by any form of spoiler or preview, then close your eyes now and be gone with you! If you missed tonight’s episode, then feel free to check out our full, live recap of the show before getting a taste of what’s in store for next week!
The official, brief synopsis for Game of Thrones season 3 episode 3 is as follows: Tyrion gains new responsibilities; Jon is taken to the Fist of the First Men; Daenerys meets with the slavers; Jaime strikes a deal with his captors.
The teaser trailer for next week’s episode opens up with Daenerys adamantly saying, “I’d like to buy them all. Eight thousand.” She is of course eager to buy an army, which will hopefully help her in her efforts to seize her rights to the throne. This teaser trailer is pretty fast paced and does a good job of stirring up some excitement. Why must they make us wait an entire week! Argh.
Later in the trailer we see Arya travelling in the woods by herself and is eventually greeted by a man who says, “Lucky we found ya. These woods aren’t safe for Ned Stark’s daughter.” The scene quickly transitions to a couple of horses leaping over fallen trees and two archers firing arrows into the woods. Just your good ol’ fashion medieval-esque action.
The teaser doesn’t show much in regards to the deal Jaime makes with his captors, but we’ll be eager to see what becomes of that particular bargain as well as what Jon Snow’s fate will be. The teaser insinuates that the people beyond the wall want to throw him off a cliff — but that could just be a sneaky juxtaposition of scenes on HBO’s part. Who knows. Is Jon going to be in danger? Will Arya make it out of the forest alive? How far will Daenerys go to make sure she’s got all she needs to ensure her victory? Tune in next Sunday. We know we will!
