Gia Allemand of Bachelor Season 14 Dies at 29 Years Old

Gia Allemand, a young bachelorette who was featured on season 14 of The Bachelor, has died at the age of 29 years old. She was admitted to a New Orleans hospital on Monday after suffering from a weird medical event — the details of which have not yet been released — and now her family members confirm that she has passed away.

TMZ reports: As we reported, the 29-year-old model had been hospitalized in New Orleans since Monday following what her family called a serious emergency medical event. The details surrounding the event are unclear, but it was announced that Allemand had been placed on life support. Allemand’s mother and longtime boyfriend NBA player Ryan Anderson — of the New Orleans Pelicans — were at her side when she died.

The story is developing and should any striking details relating to her condition arise we’ll be sure to update this post. Our thoughts go out to this family. Stay tuned for more updates. It’s so sad to hear of tragedies like this, especially when they involve people who are so young. Hearing of this, we can’t help but think of the Cory Monteith incident.

We will not speculate cause of death here; we’ll report the official news once we can provide it from a legitimate source.
