Fomer stars of the Bachelor and Bachelorette have all been sending in condolences for Gia Allemand‘s family in the wake of her death, reportedly caused by suicide.
Gia died at the young age of 29, and although she was hospitalized in critical condition for a while, she ended up not making it. Jake Pavelka, the Bachelor whose season Gia starred on, wrote on Twitter, “I had to pull over, I can’t stop crying. We have lost an angel.”
Chris Harrison, the host of the Bachelor, wrote, “It’s with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our good friend Gia Allemand. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.” Sean Lowe wrote, “My prayers go out to @GiaAllemand ‘s family during this time. Life on earth is but a vapor and she’s with our Lord now.”
Desiree Hartsock, the current Bachelorette, wrote, “So incredibly sad to hear the news. Love and prayers go out to Gia’s family and friends.” Catherine Giudici wrote, “Such heartbreaking news today about @GiaAllemand passing. Praying for her friends and loved ones.”
Gia’s former co-stars during her season also uploaded their thoughts, including Vienna Girardi and Michelle Money. Vienna wrote, “Gia you are my angel! You changed so many lives with your beautiful soul and will be missed and loved forever.” Michelle added, “Two years ago today my amazing father passed away. Today another angel is joining him in heaven. Such a sad sad day. #HeartBroken.”
Of course, this news is even more devastating for those who knew her well and were friends with her, which is the case with Marissa May. Marissa uploaded a picture with her and Gia posing during Halloween, with the caption, “I am in disbelief. I can’t begin to explain. Forever in my heart, my happy, sweet angel.”
Gia certainly made a difference to a lot of people, and she will definitely be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends.
