Gwyneth Paltrow has made a lot of noise in recent weeks because she’s really afraid that an expose will eventually hit the press that shows her true colors. She has spent years carefully trying to manufacture and pre-package the perfect image. She wants you to believe that her career is everything that she could ever have hoped for, marrying rocker Chris Martin is a dream come true and those two children of hers – absolute perfection. Gwyneth has spent a lot of time making sure that even casual observers know that her life is better than theirs.
Vanity Fair decided to do a bit of digging and apparently there IS dirt to uncover otherwise Gwyneth wouldn’t care if her friends were interviewed for the piece. First she warned those closest to her to keep their mouths shut but I guess not everyone obliged because Gwyneth’s approach has radically changed. She has fallen off of her judgmental soap box and now claims not to care about anything. Her new approach is simple, do what you think is best.
Gwyneth told U.K.’s Red (via RadarOnline),
“This is the thing: It’s like, the older I get, I realize it doesn’t matter what people who don’t know you think [of you] … it doesn’t matter.
“You’re wasting your energy. It’s like, if your partner comes to you — or your best friend — and says, ‘Listen, I want to talk about something you did that hurt me, or I think you could improve,’ sit down and listen to what they have to say. But some friend of so-and-so’s — it’s like, who gives a s**t?”
This new way of thinking is likely her way of prepping herself for the onslaught of negativity that is right around the corner. Once everyone knows and reads about how one of Gwyneth’s former BFF’s (Ahem, Madonna.) has sold her out she will have at least already screamed to the world how much she doesn’t care what people think. Girlfriend is bracing for fallout and no doubt it has already started at home. I have to wonder how Chris feels about his wife’s affair with Jeff Soffer.
