According to an absolutely unshocking report that was recently published by Page Six, Gwyneth Paltrow is said to be quaking in her boots that an upcoming tell-all in Vanity Fair will reveal details about an inappropriate relationship between she and Jeff Soffer – the billionaire husband of Elle Macpherson.
The report says that the relationship began back in 2008; when the pair were spotted together in a private section at the re-opening of his Miami hotel. Later on, he reportedly gave the leggy blonde – a “private tour” of the hotel, before taking part in sunbathing on his yacht the next day.
Of course, Gwyneth has staunchly denied anything inappropriate went on between the two – saying that they are “just friends,” but for some reason, it’s hard to take her word for it. Perhaps because Paltrow, who is known to over-share, was recently quoted saying she would hope her husband – Cold Play rocker Chris Martin (who has also been in the hot seat a time or two for cheating) – would forgive her if she were to cheat on him. An indication that something is amiss in that perfect life of hers? Who knows.
What we do know, however, is that infidelity rumors have followed Paltrow for the entirety of her career, with her having been linked to celebrities such as Viggo Mortensen and John Hannah. Another rumor perpetuated by Star Magazine also suggested that the Vanity Fair article may probe her relationship with an unnamed literary agent. When they went investigating, the entire piece was shut down.
Regardless, it’s clear that the Goop should take a break from flaunting how out of touch she is with reality and instead, focus on writing one of those famous newsletters on “How not to implicate yourself in an affair with a married billionaire.” But knowing Gwyneth, it’s much more likely that she will spin this allegation in her favor somehow – turning it into yet misplaced rant about how everyone is “jealous” of her. /eyeroll
