We weren’t really shocked when we learned of Jillian Michaels’ partner Heidi Rhoades. They make a great couple and even greater parents. However, Celeb Dirty Laundry always has to ask the important question, who is Heidi Rhoades? Where did she come from? What does she do for a living? We did some investigation to find out more about this beautiful woman and her life with The Biggest Loser’s most terrifying and most loved trainer.
There’s not much written about Heidi Rhoades, and only a sparse few pictures of her pop up on Google’s image search, but what we do know is that she works as a professional yoga instructor, gave birth to a biological son, Phoenix, on the 3rd of May, 2012, and recently adopted a little girl from Haiti named Lukensia. According to Hollywood’s dating information site, Hollywood Hookups, Rhoades has been dating Michaels since 2009 – making it 4.1 years in total if you really want to be scientific. The photos of Rhoades and Michaels show two people happily in love, and although Rhoades has a strange resemblance to Jodie Foster crossed with a BFF we once had in high school, they really do appear to be a perfect fit.
Michaels posted on her official Facebook page just after the birth of their son and the adoption of their daughter, “I am really happy to finally share with you that I have brought my daughter home AND I have a newborn son. The story is obviously too long for a Facebook post, but I gave it to people so if your are curious it’s all there. Thanks for sharing this long journey with me. I am so grateful.”
However, the two were forced to go public about their relationship after the birth of Phoenix, and seeing that Michaels is a celebrity trainer who is adored and loved by millions, the couple had to make a decision on how they were going to let the public know about the birth of their son and the adoption of their daughter. Michaels says, “When we were having kids, I thought, How am I supposed to hide a newborn? So we thought, Let’s talk about it. It wasn’t so much about coming out. It was more about, okay, this is my family.“
Congratulations, you two! May motherhood be the greatest experience of your life!
