New York toasted and buttered designer, Jonathan Simkhai, after the success of his 2014 Spring Collection for NYFW. Celeb Dirty Laundry was honored to be invited to the Jonathan Simkhai after party where celebs such as Hannah Bronfman, Chelsea Leyland, Mia Moretti, Caitlin Moe, Kelly Framel, Julie Henderson and Hesta Prynn toasted Jonathan’s Spring 2014 collection on September 7th, 2013 at The Raven in New York City.
Referred as a “-mix of the mod stripes and something more rock”, his designs definitely had the rock and rebel feel he was hoping. So it was no wonder that he held the after party at the Raven Nightclub.
Heading literally underground the club was filled with low lighting,complimentary bartenders, and hostesses that wore latex dresses. It felt like Julie Andrews would have to rework “My Favorite Things”. That’s how the general vibe was and who can blame them. It was a celebration after all. Jonathan’s collection was a huge success.
The reviews were all good and some said he’s living up to his full potential but as with all things the why tends to be forgotten leaving “the who” to take over. Who was there and what did they do? Caitlin Moe surely enjoyed herself along with partner in crime Mia Moretti. They were seen by the DJ booth but if they ever decided to join in, it must have been after I went home. I unlike others just did not have the stamina to stay to see the morning sun come up and believe me when I say I’m kicking myself for it. I got to see the sparkler show of congratulation for Jonathan but I missed out on Lindsay Lohan.
Yeah I missed the opportunity of watching the former child actress with her new boyfriend. The guy she made pretty sure was far away from one of her exes. Damn! Next time I know better. Like if Latex is involved it’s supposed to render all splashes redundant.
