Will the Kardashians ever fade into obscurity? There is always a glimmering hope that they will, but that hope is crushed when one of them gives an interview and it becomes headline news. In this case, Kendall Jenner speaks to Cosmopolitan about the downsides of being part of the Kardashian clan.
Kendall tells Cosmo, “The show ["Keeping up With the Kardashians"] brought us everything we have, and I realize that, but sometimes I just want to be left alone and be a normal kid for like five minutes. That’s tough when the paparazzi are chasing you.”
And the best way to be a normal kid is to give an interview to the Cosmopolitan when you have nothing to promote? The Kardashians really bring a new meaning to the word hypocrite, but Kendall honestly seems like the smartest out of the bunch. So why does she go along with the rest of them when she just wants to be a ‘normal kid’? Well, that’s easy – her angel mother and Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner.
When Kendall basically says that she’s forced to be on a reality show when she has no interest in exploiting her life, she’s saying that she’s given no choice in the matter. We see the iron grip that Kris Jenner has on her daughters, and it’s sad that she’s able to manipulate her daughters to keep herself in the limelight. Obviously, Kim Kardashian‘s time is coming to end, and Kris is now grooming poor Kendall to take over from here. She knows Kendall already has a fan base, thanks to her modeling and twitter, and it wouldn’t even be surprising to see Kris force Kendall to come out with a sex tape, a la Kim.
In the same interview, Kendall adds that her next move will take her out of the reality television world, explaining, “Not a reality-show spin-off. That’s not happening. Modeling is my number one priority — one hundred percent.”
Right, and that’s what a ‘normal kid’ would be doing? Not going to school, when at her age that should be her sole priority. No, instead it will be ‘modeling’. Well, Kendall’s already quit school on her mother’s insistence. I mean, why go to school when you have fame whore training to go through? It’s just sickening that nobody even points out the inherent hypocrisy in everything these people say, and it’s sad for our society that they are even relevant enough for us to care about.
