So, everyone’s heard about the news of Kanye West probably possibly cheating on Kim Kardashian with some random woman named Leyla Ghobadi, right? Well, if your sister had just been cheated on and everyone in the world [unfortunately] knew about it, what would your reaction be? To dump his ass, right? Well, that’s not how the Kardashians think.

Khloe Kardashian has reportedly asked Kim Kardashian to forgive Kanye West for cheating, telling Kim that it was a one-time thing and that it probably didn’t even happen. Well, of course Khloe would say that. If Kim broke up with Kanye, what would happen to all the tabloid coverage on them? Sure, Kris Jenner would make sure to keep calling the paparazzi and leaking stories to the tabloids, but the public interest would drop massively. Kim is much, much less interesting without Kanye to cause drama with/around her. Of course now that Kim has had the baby with Kanye by her side the case against dumping him just got stronger!
So if tabloid coverage drops, that means the rest of the family gets affected as well. And that in turns drops their market value. We can’t have that, can we? Keeping Up With the Kardashians debuted to extremely high figures in its eighth season premiere, and a large part of that interest comes from Kim’s pregnancy and her relationship drama with Kanye. The rest of the family benefits massively, and a large part of their income comes from how well the show does.
Yes, it makes me extremely sad for our society that such a trash heap show does so well, but then again, people seem to like entertainment that makes them feel better about themselves, so why not?
