Do you know what I hate? I hate when magazines try to sell its readers a false sense of reality. Just like the fashion mags try to dictate to women what is attractive, sometimes the weeklies give us an unrealistic sense of normal. If you just had a baby in the past few months and you check out Kim Kardashian on the cover of the Dec. 23rd print edition of US Weekly you might want to cry. There’s good ole Kimmie in a white bikini trying to show us just how well she has bounced back in the 6 months since delivering her most famous occasional accessory, baby Nori.
This set of photos comes on the heels of rampant speculation that Kim has had major plastic surgery done upon realizing that all of that baby weight wasn’t about to just disappear. The pics also appear to have been photo-shopped to death and think about it, if Kim’s body was so completely banging then she would show it off in a bathroom selfie. Instead she has shown off the parts that she thinks look okay, always keeping her stomach concealed. Anyone can look fabulous on a magazine cover with enough smoke and mirrors!
In other Kardashian news, it looks like Khloe is finally ready to throw in the towel on her marriage to Lamar Odom. She has muddled through 6 months of scandal and has watched as Lamar has done everything imaginable to ruin things between them so I don’t think that a divorce would really shock any one. Another couple supposedly on the brink has been Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux. US Weekly has the latest on their recent holiday party. Editor’s Note: Photogs follow Kim around like flies around a mare’s butt and are summoned whenever she or Kris Jenner wants pics taken. If Kim really looks like she is constructed to appear on the Us cover then why doesn’t she simply wear a bikini and let the paps take some pics – she was in Miami over Thanksgiving – was the beach closed? The cover pic even has some computer generated abs showing! They must really think people are clueless.
