Kanye West has been confirmed to perform at the VMA Awards later this year, and Kim Kardashian will reportedly make her first post-baby red carpet debut on the VMA red carpet.
Of course, Kanye has a long and sordid history at the VMA Awards, with the whole Taylor Swift award snatching moment happening here a few years ago. He’s also caused his fair share of controversy, but all that would be nothing if they turned up at the VMAs with North West. Well, I highly doubt that will happen, but you can definitely expect Kim there.
Considering that MTV is hosting the VMA Awards, it’s unlikely Kim will miss the chance to show off her new post-baby body. Almost all the sources are saying the delay in her public appearance after North West’s birth is because she’s whipping her body back in shape, and she doesn’t want to go through the same kind of criticism that she faced when she was first pregnant. There were also rumors that Kim would be getting a tummy tuck and other small procedures to speed up her weight loss process, but we’ll have to see her in public before making any statement on that.
However, even if Kim does make an appearance during the VMA’s red carpet, it’s interesting that we still haven’t seen North West. I can’t help but feel like Kanye’s actually managed to have some influence on North West’s public debut, and he might really have convinced Kim that it’s better to keep their daughter private. Because, at this point, no one really cares anymore. If they were going to sell the pictures, they would have done it right after she was born, when they could have made $3 million dollars. Now, the royal baby came and stole their thunder.
