Well, I have to give Kim Kardashian an itty bitty ounce of credit for finally realizing that being spotted in public walking baby Nori alongside psycho baby daddy, Kanye West was probably her best PR move. Her recent fashion choices hand picked by Kanye have landed her on the epic fail list and those bootylicious staged selfies were met with harsh criticism too. Finally someone in her camp realizes that what people want to see is proof that Kim is a half decent mom. Sure, we know that her baby definitely doesn’t come first, but let’s at least see them together.
Finally last week, we caught a glimpse of the family strolling together in Santa Barbara, no doubt at exactly the time that Kim let a select few members of the paparazzi know to watch for them! Anyway, in the widely circulated photo North West is sleeping on Kim’s shoulder and it’s a sweet moment but as a mother I can’t help but notice something. Kim’s not holding onto her baby with both hands. After months of supporting your newborns head and back, you instinctively still put another hand on their back when walking. It’s an instinctive and protective move- one that Kim is clearly lacking.
I know it sounds like a little thing, but any mom will tell you that if you are regularly hands on with your child then this is how you handle them. Kim wasn’t worried about protecting her daughter here nearly as much as she was concerned about getting a great shot taken. Kim has a history of calling the press to make sure that she is photographed – like she did in her most recent ‘I love Nori photo op‘.
