Kim Kardashian Pregnant Nude Sculpture by Artist Daniel Edwards: Do You Think It's Offensive? (PHOTOS)

So in the endless news and events surrounding the Kim Kardashian pregnancy, we bring to you a new development: there has been a sculpture made of Kim Kardashian’s voluptuous preggo body. The only problem, erm, is that it’s so incredibly, well, awkward. The sculpture was created by artist Daniel Edwards, who is known for producing art pieces that strive to comment upon the world of pop culture. He’s also well known for creating sculptures of Britney Spears and Angelina Jolie’s preggo physiques as well.  For photos of the sculpture CLICK HERE.

Now, Kim hasn’t taken any full naked shots depicting her glowing body yet, so nobody knows exactly what’s going on beneath those sofa-patterned dresses she’s wearing. BUT, some people are already wondering whether or not Edwards’s depiction of Kim’s body is in good taste.

The statue is included in Daniel’s L.A. Fertility show, which opened Wednesday at the LAB ART Gallery in Los Angeles. He probably thought to himself, What a way to garner some awesome publicity! Hey, if you’re going to sculpt any nude pregnant celebrity at the moment, you’d have to be pretty dumb not to choose Kim Kardashian. A minute doesn’t go by when the cyber world isn’t talking about her — and this sculpture has already caught on like wildfire. Duh.

In a press release, as reported by E!, Edwards had this to say regarding the aesthetic decisions made while producing the life-size statue: He decided to design it without arms so that people would focus on her “voluminous” belly and “lactiferous breasts” in order to “entice visitors to give a respectful rub for good luck and success.”
