Kim Kardashian was blasted on a recent episode of South Park for being a horrible role model for young girls; oh, and they also said that she resembles a hobbit. On last night’s show, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of the show, found their way into Kardashian territory when Butters refused to date an overweight classmate because she didn’t resemble his fantasy of the “ideal woman” — Kim Kardashian.
And that’s when Wendy let’s her feelings loose, choosing not to come to Kim’s defense whatsoever. She said, “Kim Kardashian is a short overweight woman who manipulates her image and makes average girls feel horrible about themselves.” Commenting on Kim’s appearance, Wendy adds, “In real life, Kim Kardashian has the body of a Hobbit!!!”
Throughout the episode, Kanye West shows up and comes to Kim’s defense, desperately trying to prove to everyone that his future-wife is not a Hobbit.
Lambasting celebrities is familiar territory for South Park, but what do you think about their current attack on Kim Kardashian? I suppose it’s the perfect time, given the fact that she and Kanye have been so prominent in the media, but the statement here seems to go a bit beyond the realms of humor and just seems a bit, well, mean.
