Lamar Odom has checked into rehab for his substance abuse problems. The where and when have not yet been released but sources leaked directly to People that Lamar has made the decision and is now in treatment. Khloe Kardashian laid down the law last week telling Lamar that unless he sought treatment for his crack addiction he was evicted! We guess Lamar didn’t want to lose Khloe permanently so he caved under her ultimatum and did the right thing.
People’s source said, “He realized he needs help,” and we can assume that since it’s People reporting this first the source is legitimate and close to Lamar.
We hope Lamar succeeds in his attempt to clean up and get better. Being a crackhead generally doesn’t offer much a future and always crushes the people who care about you. Lamar has a long history of drug abuse, violating NBA drug policies twice in 2001. Lamar has been accused of using both hard and soft drugs to excess for many years and so we know staying straight will be very difficult. The recidivism rate for people with Lamar’s history is upwards of 80 or 90 percent. Any way, good luck Lamar, good luck Khloe.
