In a matter of hours Meadow Rain Walker’s heartfelt message to fans regarding the death of her father Paul Walker has gone viral. Four hours ago Meadow Walker supposedly wrote “When I was little he taught me to walk, taught me to smile, and taught me to never give up. I loved him even before I knew what love was. He was my hero. My REAL life hero! He will always be in my heart! It brings tears in my eyes as I write this. You’re gone, but not forgotten! R.I.P Dad!”
Fans and the media have jumped at the opportunity to send their condolences to Meadow Walker via Facebook, in just three hours Meadow’s message has received over 52,000 likes. It appears that their well wishes are falling upon deaf ears though. After some investigating it has become clear to us that the message from Paul Walker’s daughter is a hoax.
Meadow Walker has never been in the limelight, nor had a public Twitter or Facebook page. The “Meadow Walker” page that published the above message was created just 18 hours ago, suspiciously just an hour after it was announced that Paul Walker had passed away. It’s safe to assume that an hour after her father passed away, Meadow Walker did not jump on a computer and create a Facebook account. Anyone who has experienced real grief knows that creating a Facebook account and publicizing your loved one’s death isn’t at the top of your to-do list.
Sadly the heartfelt message from Meadow Walker that has been circulating the internet is not from Paul Walker’s poor daughter. It appears to be the product of a delusional fan who has disrespected the Walker Family’s right to privacy by creating parody accounts of them and making a public spectacle of this sad time.
An example of the negative reaction to the fake message:
“I can’t believe how gullible people can be on the internet. Do you seriously think that this is Paul Walkers daughter. I certainly can say I’m 100% sure this is fake. For one the page was just created. I’m sure his daughter is grieving with family and isn’t even thinking about Facebook. To the person that created this page I find you very disrespectful. Shame on you.”
