The little Prince George is what 5 days old and yet his parents are talking about his christening. Really? Couldn’t that have waited? But I guess if your child is the future leader of the Church of England then you have to get a head start. Especially on the people you’ll be snubbing.
Before anyone jumps in with Prince William and Kate Middleton would never do something like that then you should at least know they have to snub someone. They have a large group of friends and they each have siblings. Only six can be chosen to be a Royal’s Godparents. I wonder how that works though. For some reason I’m envisioning Hunger Games: The Fight for Prince George. But it probably be just more strained conversation at a dinner table.
Kate has always been close to her brother, James Middleton and sister, Pippa Middleton, however I don’t feel people wold like it for both of her siblings to be Godparents. James, through no fault of his own, has been thought of as being in the closet. Rumors were really starting to circulate there when all of sudden he started to date Donna Air. Then there is Pippa the social climber. She now has a steady boyfriend and her prospects are looking promising. She’ll most likely be engaged by then. And finally there’s Prince Harry. The only person that can’t be snubbed. Why? Well, a lot of people prefer Harry over William so if they leave him out; Harry’s fan base will call out jealousy.
One thing you can count on is that the nasty old adulteress, Camilla Parker-Bowles, won’t get the nod. William would never disgrace his mom’s memory by choosing the woman who helped destroy Princess Diana’s marriage and life with Prince Charles.
You see how you have to take all of these things into consideration. The baby will be christened when Queen Elizabeth returns from holiday in September. They have two months to wade through friends who have sold their stories and have been arrested on DUIs.
In the end whoever they choose will be scrutinized by the press. That’s seems like happy hunting.
