The Chapel Royal at St. Jame’s Palace is all abuzz today because in a few short hours it’ll be the scene of Prince George’s christening. In keeping with their very strong quest for privacy, Prince William and Kate Middleton are having a very intimate ceremony with fewer than 50 people in attendance. Even the bulk of the royal family has not been invited with only Queen Elizabeth, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry expected to attend.
You better believe that it’s an invite that Camilla Parker-Bowles is wishing that she didn’t receive. Prince George’s birth kind of sealed the deal in terms of William being the next King of England. Aside from the fact that he and Kate are well-respected, they are also very relatable to the British people because they are a young family finding their way. Queen Elizabeth believes that they are the perfect choice as next King and Queen and it’s a decision that has left Camilla reeling.
Rumors have swirled for weeks about a divorce war between Camilla and Prince Charles. Then there are those scary topless photos that hit the press a few weeks ago, putting Camilla in precisely the same situation that she scolded Kate for 18 months ago! The tension between her and Charles is epic and her hatred for Kate’s immediate family has been poisoning the royals for months. There’s little doubt that when this group sits down to enjoy a tier of Kate and William’s preserved wedding cake this afternoon, Camilla will certainly be swigging from her handy, dandy flask!
