Prince Harry, the official scamp of the royal family, often does what he pleases. The royal family can’t disown him – where would they be without a second heir (of course Kate Middleton is about to take care of that!) And now, we’ve got more details about Harry’s shenanigans, not that that’s anything new. According to the Daily Mail, which has been publishing [probably a largely embellished] version of Harry’s biography, Harry used to have a secret romance with a ‘lowly’ shop girl named Margaret.
The author of this salacious tale refuses to reveal his/her full [or real] name, and goes by Chris Hutchins. Mr./Ms. Hutchins reveals that Harry met this ‘Margaret’ while she worked at the many convenience stores on Eton High Street, which Prince William and Harry often frequented.
Apparently, as Hutchins continues, Harry asked Margaret out on a date after being taken with her looks [and maybe personality, but that’s doubtful], and apparently – Margaret didn’t even know who Harry was! Yes, you can start laughing now. Apparently, after her co-worker informed her of the Prince’s identity, she was over the moon and jumping with joy that she snagged a prince. Ok, that wasn’t in the story, but since that’s probably what happened, we refuse to take it back.
Hutchins continues this fan fiction – uh, sorry, we meant ‘biography’, and says that there was just one problem with this Cinderella like romance: Margaret had a boyfriend. Uh-oh. Apparently, Margaret knew what she was doing was wrong, but couldn’t stop herself. Thus, Margaret never really went further than a few kisses with Harry, and for anyone who knows anything about the Prince, you know a few kisses won’t be enough for him. Therefore, Margaret ended up breaking things off, knowing that the relationship could never go anywhere. She reportedly told Hutchins, “Harry called me several times after that but I had to tell him I couldn’t see him again. He was pleading but I knew it was wrong. I could never be part of his world. I cried buckets after that last call but he never rang me again. I went on to marry my boyfriend, and I’m pleased to say we’re very happy and have two lovely children.”
Well, that was an interesting story, wasn’t it? Although it definitely reads like the daydream of some housewife living at home with too little to do, it might be true. Who knows, really? Harry’s definitely had more than a few dalliances with what the Palace would consider ‘commoners’ in the past, so what’s another girl coming out of the woodwork? However, although the general public feels this way, do you think Cressida Bonas will mind? Let us know in the comments.
