Real Housewives of New Jersey Teresa Giudice's Daughter Gia has Dramatic Heart-to-Heart Talk with Poison!

The August 11 episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey is titled “Children of the Scorned”. It is episode 11 of season 5. For the second episode in a row everyone is getting along. This isn’t just for show. You can see the genuine love between them. It’s refreshing to see these families come together instead of continuing down the path of destruction. I was over the family feuds. It was boring instead of a hot mess.

Teresa Giudice and Jacqueline Laurita continue their conversation from last week. The two former best friends bury the hatchet. In this episode, we see the love fest continue between Teresa and her younger brother Poison Joe Gorga. Kathy Wakile says in her talking head she can see a pattern between her childhood with Teresa and their kids’ relationship. Kathy says she realized they were repeating a terrible pattern of fighting and keeping the kids apart. She is determined to keep the families close.

Teresa invites everyone, including Jax, to join her in a Zumba event to benefit her charity Nephcure. They take a bus together to the event. The bus is equipped with a stripper pole. Juicy says to Melissa Gorga she should put on a show on the pole. Milania sees the pole and decides she was going to imitate Zia Melissa. She says “Look! I’m Melissa”! The whole bus erupts with laughter! Even JLo-Light thinks Milania is funny!

The highlight of the episode is a heart-to-heart conversation between Teresa’s daughter Gia and her zio Poison. Now that the siblings are back to being best friends Joe makes a date with his God daughter. Poison wants to make up for lost time by treating Gia to go carts for her birthday. When the sit down to chat Gia lets Poison know she is aware of all the drama between him and her mom. She and Teresa are very close and they talk a lot.

Gia calls out Poison on his behavior at his son’s christening. You can hear the pent up anger in her voice. Poison says he changed and her mother changed but Gia doesn’t fall for it. She shakes her head as he talks. Joe is taken aback by Gia’s words. He is very hurt hearing his God daughter talk about being bullied at school. Gia says it happens due to Poison’s actions and words. It is very refreshing to hear from someone talk frankly within this family.

There is a little bit of screen time for the Manzos (Caroline, Christopher and Albie) as they say goodbye to Albie’s best friend Greg Bennett. Greg is leaving Franklin Lakes for a job in San Francisco. Everyone is emotional, especially Caroline. She says Greg is like one of her sons.

Jacqueline’s story line in this episode included more than calling Teresa names and obsessively caring for her autistic son, Nick. She is going to Beverly Hills to see a plastic surgeon for a tummy tuck and neck lift. Jax continues her loopy behavior and is oblivious to the fact that she isn’t cute or funny. Her crazy is bubbling up to the surface again. It was apparent to her parents and daughter Ashley that she is a little too excited for major surgery.

Next week the housewives are back to the hot mess. Melissa has an event for her new marriage book and people are coming out of the woodwork to confront her about cheating on Poison. JLo-Light again denies the allegations. Who is behind this new set of rumors now that Teresa and Melissa have made up? I can’t wait until next week to find out!
