According to a new report from Star Magazine, Robert Pattinson has a drinking problem. Star goes on to claim that Rob ‘can’t stop drinking’ and his friends are ‘begging’ for him to stop.
According to the report, Rob started drinking when Kristen Stewart’s cheating scandal with Rupert Sanders was revealed last summer, and he hasn’t been able to stop since then. A source tells the magazine, “Rob was a complete mess over Kristen’s cheating and began drinking to numb the heartbreak. Rob doesn’t just drink with friends while out, he drinks by himself at home and always reeks of alcohol.”
See, I would buy this story if it said Rob and Kristen are always drinking at bars, dressed like hobos. They lost me at ‘doesn’t drink with friends’ and ‘drinks by himself at home’. I’m sure he reeks of alcohol and much more considering that he pretty much always looks unwashed. However, whenever he’s in town, he’s spotted at bars with his friends. Sue the guy, he likes social drinking. Maybe he likes it too much, but then again, being one of the most famous actors in the world and having your girlfriend humiliate you in public has to be a recipe for alcoholic disaster.
The source even adds that to take away from the pain and to continue being able to drink, Rob “even has plans to open an exclusive bar on Cahuenga Blvd in Hollywood, where he can party in peace and not have to worry if anyone’s watching.” That, I can believe. He can have his friends over whenever he wants and party in peace, without pesky paparazzi attempting to get pictures of him and his on again/off again/on again girlfriend.
