Rookie Blue RECAP 6/27/13: Season 4 Episode 3 “Different, Not Better”

Tonight on ABC ROOKIE BLUE continues with a new episode called, “Different, Not Better.” On tonight’s show Andry and officer Marlo Cruz, Swarek’s new girlfriend, square off when they partner on a case, and new rookie Chloe Price has her eye on Dov.  Did you watch last week’s season premiere, we did and we recapped it here for you!

On last week’s show Andy had to make peace with her past when she was forced to work a bank robbery case with the newly promoted Swarek on her first day back at 15 Division. The investigation led them to a violent ex-convict determined to get his old life back at any cost. Meanwhile, Nick and Gail helped a distraught woman who offered Nick some perspective on his life with Gail, and Frank dropped a bombshell on Noelle.

On tonight’s show  Andy and Officer Marlo Cruz, Swarek’s new girlfriend, butt heads on their first patrol together. Their different ways of handling the job are put to the test when they confront an emotionally disturbed woman who is losing control – and explode when one of them is forced to make a crucial life-saving decision to pull the trigger. Meanwhile, the rest of 15 Division is hunting down an armed burglar with a novel MO after a string of ATM robberies, and Dov is forced to work with new rookie Chloe Price after their indiscreet first encounter.

RECAP: The episode starts with the team playing paint ball together and Andy wins. At the station, Andy and Noelle are talking about Sam’s new girlfriend. Andy bumps into Sam and tells him she won, claims it was her special talent.

Dov is being stalked by some girl, he sees that she is at the station and tries to duck out and avoid her.

Noelle and Sam are showing the officers a video tape of a thief that gave them some evidence, his rear end. Chloe Price has come over from 27th division, she is Frank’s god daughter. Chhloe says hello to Dov, tells Frank she met him already; this is actually the girl he slept with he thought was stalking him. Frank tells Dov that he is teaming up with Chloe for the day and then tells him to keep an eye out for her.

Andy is teamed up with Marlo; there is already tension between the two.

Chloe tells Dov that she has only been a cop for eight months.

Andy and Marlo are looking for Felix, they find his brother who tell them that he is working at a dollar store. All of a sudden a tv falls out of a window and almost hits both Andy and Marlo.

Andy and Marlo are looking for Felix, they find his brother who tell them that he is working at a dollar store. All of a sudden a TV falls out of a window and almost hits both Andy and Marlo. They head upstairs and find a woman, Wanda, and a man in an apartment, he threw out the TV because the woman has a ton of appliances turned on and they are making lots of noise. The guy calls the woman a crazy bitch, he works night and couldn’t take it any more. Andy asks the woman what happened, she claims she hates the little kid int he hallway and couldn’t go for a walk so she turned everything on to tune it out.  The woman is calm, they leave.

At the station, Nick gets a man come in that brings an urn that it is filled with somebodies cremated remains. Nick tells him that he will hold on to the remains until the family claims them.

Gail asks Nick about the remains, he tells her he has nothing yet.

Dov and Chloe are looking for Miguel, he goes to speak to him and ask where he was the night before at 11pm; he tells Chroe to stay at the car but she doesn’t. Chloe asks him to strip his pants and show his butt, they are looking for a certain tattoo. Miguel does it and is flattered. Dov tells her she shouldn’t have done that without a warrant, she tells him that he was more fun when he was drunk.

Andy and Marlo find Felix and ask him where he was the night before, all of a sudden he takes off and they are running after him. They catch him, but at the same time they get a call that there is a robbery in progress with a guy that looks the same as the thief they saw in the video.

Andy and Marlo are on the scene, so are Dov and Chloe with Sam and Noelle, Sam tells them to keep working on their list.

Oliver and Chris head to tattoo artist who recognizes a photo of the tattoo, he describes the kid who he gave it to. Oliver tells Chris to call it in. Andy and Marlo need to head back to Wanda’s apartment, there was a 911 call. They arrive there and Wanda is not there, Andy is looking around the building stairwells, while Marlo checks her neighbors. Marlo finds the guy Wanda had the argument with, he has been stabbed.

Andy heads in the basement of the apartment and finds Wanda, she is furious and we hear someone saying they are sorry. All of a sudden, Wanda pours gasoline all over herself and tells Andy that she cannot taser her. Andy asks that Wanda let the boy go who is crying before they do anything, Andy sees a knife on the table and it is bloody. Wanda wants to know if she has to go back to the hospital, Andy says she just wants to go back to her apartment so they can have a chat. Marlo calls Andy and Wanda freaks out, she almost stabs the kid as he tries to run and Andy is forced to shoot Wanda.

Andy and Marlo have an argument, Sam tells them to have their stories straight.

Chloe and Dov are still on the road, but they are getting along better than they were.

Gail goes to see Nick and wants to know if he knows anything, the urn was heading to Hawaii but the family said that they could flush it.

Chloe and Dov are checking this guy out and find him trying to run off, he is they guy they have been looking for.

Marlo and Andy are back at the station, Wanda might pull through, they both are happy with the good news.

Gail is walking with the urn, she is going home with the urn, she tells Chris she is going to drop it off. They go to the river and dump the ashes inside.

Andy sees Sam give Marlo a hug and she is clearly affected by it, she looks so sad. Andy tells Sam that she’s great, then tells him she knows when to quit, when the odds are against her.

Chris finally gets that tattoo he wanted.
