Seems like just yesterday Simon Cowell was living the every man’s dream of having a different beautiful girlfriend on his arm monthly, with the next one always waiting in the wings. He didn’t seem the marrying type and he once stated in no uncertain terms that he did not want to have kids. A lot has changed in a short amount of time for Simon who is expecting a child with Lauren Silverman who up until recently was married to Simon’s friend Andrew Silverman.
In fact Lauren announced she was carrying Simon’s child while still married which I am guessing has thrown a major and irreparable wrench in their friendship. Since the news hit the stands Simon has more than stepped up to the plate by confirming the news and expressing his excitement at having a child, as well as making Lauren his number one gal these days.
Last night TMZ cameramen caught up with Simon and Lauren as they were leaving dinner at Ago in West Hollywood with Bruno Tonioli and Lauren’s girlfriend, American designer Rachel Roy. When they asked Lauren about walking down the aisle with Simon (seriously has the ink even dried on her divorce papers) she coyly deflected the question by telling them to ask Simon. Granted Simon looks super happy to be out and about with his baby mama, and as a gal who grew up with fairy tales I love a happy ending but I am going to have to guess that these two will not end up saying I do. Simon is being supportive through the pregnancy and will likely be a great dad and take care of her and his child but soon the call of the wild will pull him away. It always does.
