According to the latest report from US Weekly [which means it’s probably true], Simon Cowell is ready to propose to baby mama Lauren Silverman.
Lauren is six months pregnant with Simon’s child, and a source tells US, “Simon has a ring and is ready to propose to Lauren Silverman who is six months pregnant with the couple’s first child. Simon’s mad about her. But I think he’ll wait until after she gives birth.”
Just two weeks ago, we received several stories stating that Simon had unequivocally decided that he was NOT going to get married to Lauren. And now, we’re getting the exact opposite. However, this is US Weekly’s story, which means there’s a kernel of truth in there somewhere. US rarely gets these kinds of exclusives wrong, which means that someone in Lauren’s team must have talked. I doubt Simon’s team said anything, especially because he hates the press attention and doesn’t want people to know about his private life [a bit ironic considering the industry he’s in]. However, Lauren is probably basking in her short-lived glory, and she’s taking advantage of her place in the spotlight.
To be fair, Simon has hinted at a possible engagement in the past, but then he backtracked and pretended as though he never said anything. If he does get engaged, I’m sure Lauren will find a way to leak it to the tabloids but for now, I think it’s just wishful thinking on her part.
