Taylor’ music has gone from twenty banjo to sexual innuendos (though few and far between) mixed with revenge themes. She’s even had sleepovers with boyfriends, which was the final nail in the coffin of her assumed innocence. Since she split from British cutie Harry Styles, Taylor has been excreting an adult image—aloof, sexy, and confidant.
Taylor’s new image comes just in time for her to compete with new artists and stay relevant. She’s already abandoned her country roots by going main stream pop, and photos circulated last summer of a busty Swift, leading many to believe she’d paid for breast implants. She’s gone from floral dresses to booty short outfits, and ironed her girl-next-door curls out. So who is the new Taylor? Well, she’s totally staged sex, and has fans in denial!
Taylor’s fans are cutthroat, and hate to believe that the girl who once sang about screechy screen doors could be sexually active. The fact that she’s 23, has dated dozens of men, and has been seen entering and leaving hotels with boyfriends doesn’t seem to occur to them! But Taylor has been totally aloof about the hook ups, which is exactly as it should be. Taylor’s new sexy image is pretty disgusting—she’s just so tacky, and the stripping sessions onstage don’t have anything to do with her music—and I think it will backfire! Moms love Taylor because she’s asexual—like a 12-year-old with a crush, who wants to hold hands and doodle hearts, Taylor is nonthreatening. But her skimpy outfits and hip thrusts will surely see a huge market loss, as moms seek out new Disney singers—pre rebellion.
During tonight’s performance at the Brit Awards, Taylor showed up in a white gown, which was stripped off her midway through the song to reveal a black corset and barely-there shorts. I just don’t see fans getting on board with her new sense of style—most love her for the sweet outlook on life. We already have one Rihanna—and she’s plenty to handle!
