Not long after Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudice revealed their summer wedding, Desiree Hartsock, who was absolutely crushed when Sean Lowe sent her packing on The Bachelor, was crowned the next Bachelorette. I think Desiree was a good choice and I had a sneaking suspicion throughout the latter half of the season that she’d be the one charming enough, the one sweet enough, to be the world’s next Bachelorette. She seems like a person genuinely and sincerely looking for love, and we hope she’ll be able to find it on her season of the show. Will this show ever end? Holy crap, I swear it’s still going to be on when I’m 83!
Thanks to the magic of the internet, several of Desiree’s Potentials have leaked and it’s looking like she has a mixed bag to choose from. Desiree, who is 26 years old, has already begun filming the show and has reportedly begun handing out those coveted — terrifying! — roses. While Sean ultimately ended up sending her home early, he wishes her all the best and hopes she’s able to find love just as he did.
“Although it didn’t work out with us, she’ll always have a place in my heart because she is such a lovable person,” Sean said to PEOPLE. “I know Des has moved on, and I’m hoping she gets a second chance at love – maybe on the next season of The Bachelorette? She would definitely get my vote.”
