The tardiness argument continues to be an issue tonight. Kenya was willing to speak down to everyone. In order to teach them so etiquette until Nene stopped her tirade. This is a fun trip after all and they should focus on at least leaving Atlanta. The show is back on track once the van leaves.

However the ride doesn’t go smoothly. They began talking about their marriages. A hot button topic for sure. The newcomer Mynique was able to open up about her marriage. She mentioned how she liked to check in with her husband and Porsha seemed to think they had something in common upon hearing that, but the other girls told her she was wrong. Mynique likes to establish equality in her marriage while Porsha used to let Kordell run the show. Kenya brought up an example of when they were in Vegas. Porsha at the time said she was proud her husband let her come on the trip. As if she needed his permission.

When Porsha was able to finally understand the difference; she broke down. She wanted her marriage to work like Mynique’s and thought that she was close to building that before the divorce. To find out she underestimated her own marriage was a blow to her.

Moving on to what should be happier news, the girls arrive in Savannah. They arrive at the house only to find it both looks spooky and it has a history of a ghost. To top it off Kandi frustrates their hostess, Nene, by taking the Master Bedroom. Nene didn’t like that and tried to shake it off but the other women do tell her to say something. She doesn’t have to get in an argument in order to express herself.

So Nene comes down and calmly speaks to everyone thanks to Kenya mostly. She wanted to lay down some ground rules. Please be on time and try to courteous. Kandi and Phaedra don’t really take the “rules” well seeing as their adults and Nene isn’t their mother. Mynique was the one relay what Nene said to Phaedra because she missed it. This lead to Mynique getting checked by Phaedra. That surprised the other women. Usually Phaedra wouldn’t have reacted that bad. She’s more of a slow builder than a hot head.

Phaedra and Kenya leave the house for a while. They just wanted a chance to talk without any of the other women overhearing when they noticed something. There are hearse tourist rides in Savannah. That’s something you don’t get to see every day.

Back at the hotel, Mynique didn’t realize she got “read”. She doesn’t understand the full nuisances and its ok. Luckily, she got Cynthia to help teach her. Including showing her how to do up her make-up. Once she’s made up, she does all she can to repair whatever rift she created with Phaedra. For instance, she carries Phaedra’s breast pump.

The girls go to a prominent back church where they learn about their history. The church used to be a safe haven for African American as well as part of the underground railroad. Porsha had gotten inspired and was feeling very connected to the building what with her grandfather being a prominent civil rights activist and yet Cynthia said the poor man was most probably rolling in his grave after Porsha thought the slaves escaped on an actual train. Pheadra and Kandi attempted to explain railroad was only an euphemism and still Porsha couldn’t get it.

Later the women are enjoying their drinks while Phaedra is pumping her breast. Mynique, like may suspected, brought up her husband and his former relationship with Kandi. Mynique just wanted to know why Kandi’s mom was so friendly with her man at Nene’s wedding. Kanid explained how she used to date Chuck. They dated twice a long time ago and he was always a good person to her and her and family. While Nene says in her aside that Chuck as a reputation now for being cheap. Apparently he wasn’t back when he was dating Kandi. He used to give her money to pay off her cards.

Mynique knows her husband lied about the seriousness of her former relationship, but she’s doing her best to pretend like it doesn’t matter. She could have succeeded if it were not for Kenya. Kenya asks some uncomfortable questions. Then Phaedra rejoins the group. She used to date Chuck also. Even though Chuck denied ever dating Phaedra to his wife.

Porsha tells Mynique she needs to find out what else her husband is hiding. She was saying it as a joke but Mynique went off as if she was insulted. Nene got her to back off because everyone Porsha isn’t who she’s really mad at. For now there’s peace, but if Mynique can’t learn when to and not speak then she’ll find herself in another argument next week.
